It's kind of cool. I mean it's been cold. Well, it's been extremely, biting cold, if you really must know. It's been below zero every night this week, and now is -4, as I write this.
Fun things about this week:
1.) The guys defy the elements and ski the trails behind our house, regardless of the temperatures.
2.) Extreme tubing happened for 3 of us, (not I), with "the Mr." deciding it wasn't to his liking, after barrelling down the hill at "Mach 1" speed, spinning around, without control.
3.) Morning mochas together.
4.) Fireside chats.
5.) Competitive sledding, with video commentary.
6.) Watching the son-in-law's blog, to see what he's writing about his Alaskan experiences this week.
7.) Watching the early morning eagle feeding at the end of the Homer Spit.
8.) Sharing mealtimes with special friends.
9.) Watching the ice moving further out into the bay each day.
10.) Seeing the steam rising above the sea-water on the bay.
11.) Taking photos.
12.) Celebrating our daughter and her husband's 2nd anniversary today!
Someday, you will be celebrating your 60th anniversary, looking back and remembering that crazy week in Alaska, when you were celebrating your first two years together. There is so much of life's adventures ahead for you. I can see that your love for one another and love for God will sustain you through any storms that may arise, and allow you to fully embrace the joys together.

Happy Anniversary!

Here's a fun video clip from some crazy sledding yesterday.....=0)
