To combat the ridiculous cost of propane heat for our home, we've decided to add a wood stove. Well, we're "going to" be adding a woodstove. First, we must place a hearth down for it to sit upon. For that, we hired the work of our friend and artist, master sculptor and carver,
Sir Leo himself, to fashion us a hearth that would fit in with our home. In keeping with the corner of the house that holds previous projects of his handiwork, he fashioned the beautiful new creation from carefully placed stones, in keeping with our "el-natural" decor.
The "little lovely" is a heavy hunk of a hearth, and with three valiant men bringing her in, backs were challenged and fingers pinched. I was a huge help, taking pictures.

Next week, the stove will be put in place, and pipe will follow soon after. I know we'll enjoy the added warmth on this floor, and the satisfaction of cozying up to it after a ski outing in the neighborhood. It surely will help with the extravagant winter propane bills.
Thanks, Leo for your beautiful craftsmanship. We are privileged to have your work in our home.

Picture taking is work too! It looks beautiful! Can't wait to see it when it's finished!
It looks beautiful already! Cannot wait to warm my tootsies by your hearth in the years to come...
