waking thurs. morning

Big flakes are cascading down. I should be intrigued with their beauty once more, but not enough months have passed since we last experienced them. Now, in October, so seemingly early, they reflect the firestorm of political confusion, the world financial market in turmoil, and deep, hurtful issues that dear friends and close family are all going through.

It's a time of faith being tested. Can we trust God, even in the midst of the storms, to still be in control? We cannot manipulate him with puppet strings. He sees the bigger picture, and we are in the frame of space and time, too close to sometimes see His workings.

Faith is relying in the midst of the storm, having eyes of trust for Him in the darkness.
