Remember the small, extremely ugly, paint chipped shed that was in our southern view from our place? (for those of you have been here...) Well, the best news from the home front, all week, is that it is no longer there! yay! It moved away, as well as the accompanying junk and cars, and well, "bub-bye"! We are so appreciative of our new view. Now we can enjoy the spruce trees and glimpses of the Bay without the distraction. All our plans of secretly going down and painting it with green paint in the middle of the night can be put to rest.
Sat. afternoon, Ter and I attended a workshop with the Watercolor Society, to try to get ourselves kicked in gear for fall painting projects. It was great fun seeing friends, and getting inspired to wet the brushes!
Picking up luscious local produce at the Saturday's Farmer's market, inspired a roasted veggie dinner, bright in taste and color. How sad I will be, when the harvest is over, and the market is closed for the season. It's been so great to support local produce growers, and join the idea of "slow food" and local sustainability. Being here in Alaska, we have to depend upon food items being trucked and flown up to us so many months out of the year. I feel like it is extremely important to be able to support ourselves through our Alaskan economy for at least the summer months.

Glad the shed has been shed! I wouldn't want to have to bail you out of jail, with your green paint, moose-stencils & texturing media! You would regret it someday when you decide to run for office...
it is about time he got rid of those things.
