The marathon summer continues. Fishing lots...sleeping little. Somehow, the guys get up and do it again every day. I honestly don't know how. The twin from America is returning home. I saw him off at the airport this morning, with a suitcase and box of fish to share with friends back home. Now that we're starting to get better weather, he has to leave. I think he actually wishes he could stay a bit longer. The last couple of days he ended up smoking salmon in the backyard, spending time with friends, staying up too late, and sleeping during the day. (Alaska doesn't really have "days" and "nights" in the summer, everything just blends together.)
"K" selects his best flies for tomorrow's fishing adventures.
The very best part about our summers, are the people that bless our lives. Family, friends, loyal employees....we don't take any of them for granted.
As you can see, "the Mr." spends lots of time on the cell phone. Everyone wants to know "the scoop" from the fish guy.
Our moonscapes continue to be breathtaking each evening. It is now around midnight, when the moon creeps over the snow capped mountains to the south of us.
Goodbye son. It was a good time having you here. Travel safe, may God protect you, give you purpose in each day, surround you with His loving kindness. You are a gift to us in so many ways.

Gotta love that midnite moonscape!
Shared the blog with my Mom, on a quick visit to my apartment after yoga. She loved it!
