Our hearts are heavy with the thought of so many suffering in Haiti. There are no ways of wrapping our minds around it. Every day things at home seem trivial, and really don't matter, while search teams have tried finding the last survivors. I feel selfish with my comforts, being so fortunate to live in this country. Prayer and financial help are our only ways to support at this point.

Here is a first hand report, via Haiti, from yesterday. The writer of this blog is a nephew of some friends of our's in Alaska.

The grief and sadness reaches across the globe, as a collective cry.

"We’re watching and waiting, holding our breath, awaiting your word of mercy."
Psalm 123:2
