Sometimes, I feel like we live snap-dab in the middle of "cultureville". Tues., we had the great fortune of hearing the Madison String Quartet, playing at a lunch concert, at the end of the Homer Spit. They have been here for two weeks of music workshops and performances, as part of the "ArTrAgEoUs AuGuSt" celebration this year. It was a perfect day for girlfriends to sit and soak in the "soul food" of the incredible tunes. The string players were polished, versatile, and brought a bit of music heaven our way.
The Gala performance is Saturday night. We're thinking of wearing our rhinestone black beaded dresses, long white gloves, (with the cute 'lil pearl buttons up the sides), and of course, our tiaras.
See you there?
