Problem. Hard-drive failure. Hair pulling. Angst. These circumstances = "Back-blogged brain." Once you're a blogger, you look at the world through different glasses. You're mentally recording and taking in stimuli all day, in anticipation of writing your fresh, unedited impressions. With a computer at the "data doctor's" all week, it was extremely painful, at best. Much has been happening, and no way to record it. So, here, you're going to be getting snippets of this past week.
Our surrogate 'pute this week was a Japanese laptop, that "K" graciously let us borrow, when not in use. Um...well, let's just say it was an experiment in creative keyboarding! Although our alphabet rested alongside the Japanese characters, there were also many other keys that had no descriptive meaning to me, and could have been anything. I do love these beautiful letters, though, so graceful and artsy. They make our alphabet look so blah. Needless to say, remote blogging on this laptop was hopeless, since I didn't know Japanese. It was a great source of humorous entertainment, however. (well, as you can see, I don't get out much.)
Progress note to report! Our computer and NEW hard-drive are back in the saddle again, and are new and improved. (thankfully, nothing was lost. But, people, back up your systems!!) Costco has some nifty backup programs, that look extremely user-friendly. Let's all make sure we get our data backups figured out. (my 'lil lecture for the week)
It's been a busy week of continued prep work for the busy fishing season. So much to do.
The guys have been going full guns, moving stuff, sorting, practicing their indoor fly casting.

The Mr.'s desk finally got moved upstairs, so the office space is improving, although cramped.
Kudos to the boys that did all the he-man work. Super duper!
Tomorrow, I will continue to catch us up to date, with the "back-blogged-by-the-bay" news. What else has been going on? The other identical twin has arrived for a visit, another fabulous find was spotted and snatched this past week, and summer is really here in Alaska.
